Paths:
Player who start out as a Mage, only remain so for the first 30 levels of their existence on Hesperia. They won't be able to progress beyond level 31 without selecting one of the four Paths of Magick to persue. These are, in order of relative importance in size, the Path of Wizardry, Elements, Necromancy and Daemonology. Your choice is permanent and irreversible. Followers of one Path can no longer persue another Path. To follow a Path, one must find a suitable tutor and persuade him or her to teach the basics of the Path. The difficulty of finding a tutor positively depends on the importance in size of the Path. We would like to stress that this system means Hesperia effectively has 11 classes instead of 8. The most logical prolongation of the Mage class is the Wizard class. But the three other Paths are full-fledged classes as well, balanced, playable and diversified.

Racials:
All Hesperian races have a set of innate abilities known as racials. These racials can vary from a jump attack for Giants to haggle for Humans. They often offer worthwhile competitive edges over other races and really add colour to a race.

Each race also has its own language, which helps create a collective bond. Some of the races' languages coincide. All races in any case speak Common, so all players can interact without trouble, if they wish to do so.

Socials:
The standard ENVY 2.0 socials have been thoroughly revised. All out of theme socials were removed and replaced with equally neat in-theme ones. A large number of new socials has been added as well. Try them all out and see which ones you like most for future usage.

Boards:
We were lucky enough to find a neat piece of code for note boards on the net and thank the original programmer Erwin S. Andreasen. We made some modifications and the result is a relatively user-friendly board system, which allows one to write notes on-line in a simple text editor, while being put afk. All players are encouraged to actively use it to express their opinion, report bugs, offer suggestions and (very important:) stay aware of Immortal News.

Gear:
The GEAR command allows players to categorise their equipment into sets of gear, which greatly simplifies changing between multiple sets of equipment. Gone are the days of writing lengthy aliases to change equipment, and having to rewrite them every time you find a new piece of equipment, with the gear command, you simply add the new piece to the appropriate set using syntax which is similar to the WEAR command. For details, you can read HELP GEAR.
