Here you can find all the necessary information to become a successful area writer for Hesperia. All links refer to information files you can download by clicking on them. If you wish to be an areawriter, start by downloading the WRITER file and read the WRITINFO file. You will also want to download the map of Hesperia and a copy of the DOSmud.

WRITER A macro file containing the zipped versions of the WRITINFO, AREAFILE, AREAHELP, MUDPROGS, SPECIALS, OUTLINE, GEO, BALANCE, RACES and PROCEDURE files. April 24 1999
DOSMUD A zip-file containing all you need to run a DOS version of Hesperia at home for testing purposes. Also includes an example area, called LUFTER.
Note: Creating new characters is not possible in the DOSMud, instead, there is an Immortal character supplied: TEST, with password HESPERIA.

TEST CHAR Test Character - for those with a test character which lacks the necessary Immortal commands (An earlier version of DOSMUD included a bad TEST character).
Note: You should save this file to disk with the filename "TEST" in your dosmud directory (overwriting the old copy you may have of that file).
